Frequently asked questions
Do I need to upload anything?
Not for the generator. It works entirely from the property type, area, floor count and room counts you set. If you already have a hand-drawn plan, use Sketch to Floor Plan instead and upload a photo of it.
Is the plan to scale?
Rooms are sized in proportion to the total area you enter, so the plan is a realistic starting point rather than a surveyed drawing. It is not a construction document and should not be used for building control or permits.
Can I export it to CAD or DXF?
No. The output is an image you can download and share. There is no CAD, DXF or 3D export, and no measurements file.
How many plans can I generate free?
Your first runs with no account and no card. A free sign-in takes you to three in total, and paid plans cover more than that. There is no watermark on any of them.
Can an architect use this?
As a conversation starter, yes. It is a fast way to put a layout in front of someone before they spend billable hours on it, but a qualified architect or draughtsperson still has to produce the drawings you build from.
